Future use of aquifer thermal energy storage in the historic city of Australia
Een afstudeeronderzoek van Rubel Caljé
Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES) uses the subsurface to store cold and warm water in order to use this thermal energy for cooling and heating of buildings. The research answers questions relating to heterogeneity, salt mixing, thermal pollution, cooperation, and arranging of ATES systems.
The buildings around the Dam Square are used as a case to simulate a hypothetical collective system, which is compared to a hypothetical case with individual systems.
